On memorial Day weekend, we had the honor of shooting a beautiful wedding at Rockland Farm in Bumpass, Virginia. This young couple were so in love, they made our job easy! Their families were so laid back and made Chris and I feel right at home. I am so glad that they chose us to capture their big day.

Taylor and Brandon are such a loving, funny, relaxed couple. After Taylor told us the story of how he proposed with a tag on their dog's collar, I knew we were going to get along great! How sweet is that? They deserved the perfect day and, even though it was HOT, it was the perfect day! Everything from the ceremony, to the weather, to the music was spot on. We even got some GORGEOUS golden-hour shots with the bride and groom and their bridal parties.

These girls were absolutely beautiful. And those dresses were so stunning and unique. They went perfecttly with the season and the venue!

The guys, including the ring-bearer, got to go fishing at the venue after getting ready! They are probably the best dressed fisherman I have ever seen!

Family was such a huge part of this wedding, and so important to the bride and groom. The grandmothers pinned the men's boutineers by the pond where the ceremony was held (and where the men got to fish).

The ceremony was elegant, simple and sweet. They included a sand ceremony, where they each poured their sand into the same container. The officiant of the ceremony was the bride's grandfather. SO sweet and such a wonderful, personal, touch!

How cute are these flower girls!? They're dresses were adorable, too! And the ring-bearer was very handsome! So cute!

The reception was beautiful, held in a gorgeous barn with shabby-chic decor. The details were romantic and elegant, and the sun as it was setting combined with the lighting in the trees made the perfect backdrop. There was dancing, eating, laughing and FUN!

The father/daughter and mother/son dances get me everytime, and this wedding was no different!

Their beautiful cake by Pam Harlowe.

Their centerpieces were cut from the tree that Brandon carved he and Taylor's initials into, and were hand-burned with the letter "B" by his older brother, BJ. That is such an awesome and unique detail.

And did I mention there were turkeys (and pigs) at the party!? So cool!

Photographing this wedding was such a joy for us, and we wish the bride and groom so much happiness!
